This was a summary of a vacation I took when I was 14 years old. Reading this back at 25 is hilarious. It's funny to see how similar yet different I've become in the last 11 years. For reference I was originally born in Massachusetts, then moved to upstate New York at the age of 8. In my early teens I would spend 2 weeks visiting my family in Massachusetts typically 1 week with each pair of grandparents. Below is what I wrote during the vacation in its full unedited glory with spelling and grammar errors for the full effect.
Week 1
Sunday
Arrive at Massachusetts and hang out. Went over to nana's house mick-e put avast on my pc and I ate steak and cheese sandwich. Sean brought me to his house and gave me an electric bug zapper that looks like a small plastic tennis racket but it electrocutes any bug and you can see a big spark when it hits a bug then Sean brought me back to Grams house.
Monday
Hang out put primer on an end table get oil changed on Grams car look at other vehicles got takeout from the Chatta Box I got the coconut fried rice. Watched a movie on Netflix
Tuesday
Went to burger king with Sean I got a BK Stacker with a small French fry and a small sprite then went Mountain biking with Sean then got ice cream with Sean then had Dinner with Sean and Jill (burgers with home maid potato wedges) Then watched Gulliver’s Travels While eating Sundays from Peaceful Meadow’s after that Sean took me back to grams house it was almost 11:00 pm
Wednesday
Laid in bed listen to music draw an album cover Gram got a new vehicle it's a Toyota Tacoma truck. Had lunch with the Scott’s i had leftover tie food dinner with the Scott’s steak and baked potatoes. Later we had cake for dessert and I showed the Scott's how to use a computer and how the watchtower library works.
Thursday
Go and get lunch at seafood Sam’s (I got the Cape Cod style fish & chips) Afterward we as in gram and I went and visited my great gram. Then we went home then for dinner I had (chicken patties) then went to the meeting. One of the presentations was really funny it was basically a standup comedy. After the meeting we came home and I had (left over ice cream from Tuesday at peaceful meadows). Then I showed gram how to get cool HD backgrounds for her desktop on her Dell with windows 7.
Friday
Today I hung out around the house helped out moving stuff from the upstairs attic up in the eves and tried to hook up a TV but failed (I'm more of a computer person and computers are more user friendly. for dinner (we had leftover steak from Wednesday.) Then we watched TV then I ate dessert (I had ice cream) then I played on my pc then I went to bed.
Saturday
wake up in the afternoon eat lunch (we had roast beef sandwiches) go help out clip limbs off of a pine tree I broke the clippers (I broke a pair of scissors the same way before. The handle was snapped) then I dumped 2 bags of mulch then went in the house washed up and then type this out. Hang out look for DVD/Blu-ray players for gram. eat dinner (we had burgers on the grill.) sat out on porch made a fire in a fire pit thing then went inside hang out then I eat dessert (I had ice cream from peaceful meadows.)
Sunday
wake up at 8:00 am. Get dressed and go to the meeting. come home get changed then go to the 99 (I got honey BBQ chicken wrap) then we went to Wal-Mart and got a Blu-ray player for gram and came home I set it up then realized we needed an HDMI cable to get the picture to be displayed on the TV. We got back in the car and drove down to radio shack and picked up an HDMI cable. Then I plugged it in and showed gram how to use the Blu-ray. Then I played on my pc with the HDMI cable it was awesome. Then Sean took me over to nana's house we had dinner (beef and egg noodles) then papa and I got out our Bug Zappers and eventually he shocked himself with it.
Week 2
Monday
Today we went to an ice cream place and got ice cream I got (mint choc. chip) the medium was huge we were all full and that was our lunch. Then we went to the movie theater and the move was in 2 hours from then so we got our tickets and got our glasses. To pass the time I played some games in one of the mini arcades. I came really close to winning a video camera but I didn't. Then we got into the movie theater we were the first ones into the theater the move was (Transformers 3) and it was in 3D. Then we went to the 99 I got (Honey BBQ chicken wrap.) then we went home and watched TV then went to bed.
Tuesday
Today I woke up at 8:00 and got ready for serves and we got there and went out it was me Nana, Papa, and Joni. And we took the Lincoln MKZ hi-bred. Then we came home and I watched TV and played on my pc and eat lunch I had (BLT) wile Nana and Joni went shopping. Then we ate dinner. I had (Fried Steak and potatoes,)
Wednesday
Today I woke up and saw Jill's new dog "si-am" then later we went to great nana's apartment and cleaned out some stuff and then went to her nursing home and visited there for a little while after that we went home and dropped off some stuff and then got stuff ready to go to the beach and then we left but before we went to the Boston Tavern for lupper I got (cheese burger sliders with sweet potato fries.) afterward we went to the beach (Little Compton) as we went there the temperature dropped from 93 to 72 degrees. It was cold at the beach. But Papa and I still went swimming the water wasn't bad after you were numb and your skin turned purple. Then we went to get ice cream and I got (chocolate ice cream) when we went home we watched TV then went to bed.
Thursday
Today I woke up and watched TV and played on my pc then I ate lunch (leftover beef from Sunday) then went back to playing on my pc and typing this. Then had dinner (steak with potatoes.) then went back to playing on my pc. Then got ready for the meeting then went to the meeting then went to McDonalds and got Sunday’s then went home and watched TV.
Friday
Today I woke up and eat a BLT sandwich they went to great nana's apartment and cleaned out some stuff and then we went to her nursing home. I got in her wheelchair and rolled around in the parking lot. Also in the nursing home some lady set off an alarm and this continued for a long time too. Then the lady started to yell and scream then we took great nana out to the mall. we walked around for a little while then went to Joes American Grill and Bar I got (crispy chicken platter) then we walked around a little bit more then we brought her back to the nursing home then we left to go home along the way we stopped at Peaceful Meadows and I got (a small chocolate ice cream) then we went home then I played on my computer and updated this summery. I just found out how to pair my iPod to my computer via Bluetooth this is awesome because any sound that comes out of the iPod doesn't and it goes out the computers speakers.
Saturday
Today I woke up and eat waffles for breakfast and then packed and then we left to go to New York.
